Know yourself ✽ Shine your light ✽ Love life
I did not come to enslave myself to fear,
Money, work, power, bricks and mortar, some
Grand plan of achievement and purpose
That is always just out of reach or
Beyond knowing.
I came to free myself to be myself.
To partner myself in the dance of endless
Joy and self-expression so contagious,
So outrageously de-light-full
That humanity cannot help but tap
Its own feet in remembered rhythm
I was reminded this week how important it is on our development and healing path to set regular time aside from all the “work” this involves, and just allow ourselves to be held by Source.
As well as the benefits of slowing down our busy minds and active bodies, something very powerful happens when we feel and know ourselves to be properly held. We are able to let go, because even for a few moments we know absolutely that we don’t need to support ourselves. Think back to your own childhood or your children, and how a firm but gentle embrace can quieten and soften the most wound up, over-tired, and over-stimulated little one.

I often say that the best contribution you can make to the health and wellbeing of the planet and of humanity is to heal yourself, to do the inner work on yourself. If you accept that we are all connected and are all one, which I do, then obviously the more light and love you’re able to hold in a clear, healthy system, the more light and love is available to the rest of the whole of which you’re a part.
