That shocked the breath to hold and body to resist as my
Ungrounded being yearned up and out toward what I then believed was
Precious and preferred.

Working with your inner healer archetype

As a healer this is an archetype I’m very familiar with! It’s essential for all of us to have a healthy (excuse the obvious pun) relationship with our healer archetype so that it can show us where and how to make adjustments in our lives to maximise our well-being on all levels; to achieve wholeness. Given enough attention, this relationship results in the ultimate form of healing which is preventative rather than curative.

What wholistic healing means

I woke up with one of those Aha moments this morning, in that liminal space between sleep and wakefulness when the mind is offline, into which the Divine seems more able to speak directly.

What I heard and understood with crystal clarity was the key aspect of healing. The dictionary defines it as “the process of becoming well again.” Generally this carries with it the idea of returning the mind, body and emotions to exactly how they were before there was a problem.

The inner father archetype affects how you express the masculine aspect of your nature in your life, whether you’re male or female, and it’s heavily shaped both by your relationship with your human father (or lack of it) and how you’ve learned to relate to authority in your culture and society. Your ability to function healthily as an adult is very much affected by how your inner father archetype operates within you. He dictates how strong, capable, and productive you feel in everyday life as well as how you conduct relationships with all men.

Dreamland or the land dreaming

When we first moved into our current home, our dream home, I experienced a vivid meditation in my newly blessed spiritual work room. As I unwrapped the potent energy package which I’d safely bundled up from my previous work space, I felt a shift in perception. In my mind’s eye, the walls around me dissolved and there was absolutely nothing separating me from the wild bank and oak woodland on one side, and the spating stream on the other.
