My new badge!

As a healer it’s important to me that I act in integrity with what I do and advocate. After all, I wouldn’t expect anyone to trust a dentist with rotten teeth! So I take the best care I can of myself on all levels, while being conscious of balance in all things. It’s also true that the longer I’ve walked the spiritual path, the more inner work I’ve done, the healthier I’ve become.

So it felt a little embarrassing to me, after many years with not so much as a minor cold, to go down with a fluey chest infection early in the new year.

There will be many glad to see the back of 2014, with its profound shake-ups and challenges, and so the card drawn for this year offers some initial respite. The Four of Swords is a minor arcana card, so this year is very much about how we practically work with and respond to the spiritual energies now streaming on to the planet, especially in the area of thought, belief and consciousness.

My first thought as I looked at the peaceful green was that the first four months of 2015 (through to April) are indeed a time for rest, recovery and a chance to breathe, if you felt bashed and battered by last year’s events.

I’m not a trained astrologer, but I do feel the wisdom of the stars in my body as a deep knowing. I’m absolutely sure this is a result of anchoring myself more firmly to the core of the earth and working consciously with sacred sites over the last couple of years. The information I receive when I work in this way is always validated by the current astrology I research afterwards.

Accessing your inner Oracle

When I first became fascinated with the Oracle, magical and often cryptic messenger of the divine from ancient Greece, I was excited about finally remodelling my home bathroom after saving up for some time for the necessary finances. I had the idea of creating a water temple, dedicated to the element of deep feeling, and the image I held in my inner eye was light-coloured stone tiles against a background of deep mediterranean blue walls. It wasn’t until afterwards that someone informed me the beautiful tiles I had selected were travertine – the very stone on which the temple of Apollo at Delphi is constructed.

As I’ve now adjusted to life within four walls again, I find myself feeling uncertain about what comes next. While I was on the move, I always had something or somewhere to aim for, my next destination was very clearly and obviously ahead. Now, I feel that things should be noticeably different, should have moved on from the last time I was stationed in one place, but how does that look exactly?
