Willing heartNot me, I say.
He is far more intelligent, so much stronger,
More confident, outspoken, just so much
Well, more.
And things stay the same.
It should be her, I say.
She finds it all so easy and effortless,
She looks the part, persuasive and convincing
With her poise and style.
She is just so
Well, perfect.
And nothing changes.
They can do it, I say.
They have money and numbers behind them,
So organised and structured, able
To mobilise powerful force.
They are just so
Well, dynamic.”
And still no shift.
Finally, my heart cracks open and
Let it be me, I say.
I’m not sure what or how and certainly not why but
I’m here, I’m willing, I’m ready,
Use me.
And He writes me an email, She asks to speak
With me, and They offer their support.
And magically, gently, but
Ever so noticeably,
We begin to transform, well.
