Spiritual guidance May/June 2026: Thoth Tarot Prince of Wands

Here’s my spiritual guidance May/June 2026, covering the lunar month beginning with the Taurus new moon on May 16th at 9.01pm (UK) through to June 14th. Every new lunar month I draw one card from the Thoth Tarot to spark intuitive insight about the key energy to navigate by during the coming four weeks. I then take a quick look at the astrology.

The Prince of Wands bursts onto the scene in a blaze of movement, passion, and momentum. Things may shift quickly this month, with people, opportunities, and events moving rapidly into – and sometimes out of – your life. After periods of stagnation or frustration, this energy can feel like a strong wind suddenly filling the sails again.

This Prince represents dynamic action, courageous initiation, and the fire of inspired purpose. He doesn’t sit endlessly planning or hesitating. He moves. And so this month asks you to move too; stepping out of thought alone and into embodied action.

If fears, uncertainty, or external obstacles have been holding you back, you may find it easier now to push through them and make tangible progress. There’s support here for beginning new projects, pursuing long-held ideas, or finally acting on something your heart has been nudging you towards for some time.

The Prince moves forward with the heart of a lion. He encourages boldness, confidence, and wholehearted engagement with life. But this energy works best when it’s focused. Fire scattered in too many directions quickly burns itself out.

So before charging ahead, pause and check in with your deeper self. What truly matters to you right now? Which desires arise from your soul, and which are simply distractions created by restlessness or external pressure? With so much intensity available, it would be easy to become reactive, impulsive, or indecisive. Again, the invitation is to allow the solar self – the divine spark within – to direct your choices and actions.

The Prince of Wands carries enormous enthusiasm and creative force, but he also asks for maturity in how that force is used. Passion can inspire and uplift, but unchecked it can also become fanaticism, aggression, or the need to dominate. We’ve seen all too clearly in recent world events what happens when fiery conviction becomes disconnected from wisdom and compassion.

So approach challenges with confidence, yes, but not with force. Success comes not through overpowering others, but through courage, integrity, and trust in your ability to overcome difficulties without abandoning your values.

While decisive action is favoured this month, avoid rushing blindly. One of the gifts of this Prince is that he combines the passion of fire with the clarity and intelligence of air. This creates movement that is not chaotic, but purposeful; dynamic, but considered. When balanced in this way, you may find yourself able to accomplish a remarkable amount in a relatively short time without exhausting yourself in the process.

Share your gifts generously. Offer your creativity, strength, humour, insight, and encouragement wherever they naturally want to flow. You may feel especially called to defend or support those who are vulnerable, voiceless, or struggling to stand up for themselves.

And keep that sense of humour close. Laughter has a surprising ability to dissolve fear, soften tension, and stop anger hardening into despair. Sometimes humour is not avoidance at all, but resilience. It’s a reminder that spirit remains alive even in difficult moments. There’s wisdom in that old saying: “If I don’t laugh, I’ll cry.”

Out in the world, this fiery energy may manifest quite literally through out-of-control fires, volcanic activity, solar flares and storms, political escalation, or rapidly intensifying situations. Some developments may hold immense creative and transformational potential, bringing liberation and change; others may become volatile and destructive.

As always, the determining factor is consciousness. Are choices being made from the heart, with awareness of our interconnectedness within the web of life? Or purely from ego, fear, and the pursuit of personal power?

A simple practice to try this month:

  • Write down one to three goals you genuinely want to achieve over the next four weeks; ones aligned with your deepest values and what you know to be right and meaningful.
  • Take one small but courageous step immediately towards those goals.
  • Use the air aspect of this Prince to thoughtfully plan your fiery actions, so your energy is directed strategically rather than scattered.

The fire is here. The question is not whether energy is available, but what you choose – what we choose collectively – to ignite with it.

Guidance May/June 2026 from astrology

Following the Taurus new moon, breakthroughs and sudden shifts are likely as the Sun moves into Gemini on 21st May. Uranus conjuncts the Sun there, bringing flashes of insight, innovation, and potentially mind-changing new perspectives.

At the same time, each of the outer planets involved in this age-changing configuration is activated by a personal planet, making these wider collective shifts far more tangible at an individual level. A new vision begins to filter into human consciousness; one of greater connectivity, possibility, and change. Many may feel called to make important choices now, or finally act on long-held desires.

At the beginning of June, Mercury joins Venus and Jupiter as they move towards their conjunction in Cancer. When that conjunction becomes exact on 9th June, it offers a powerful moment to bless your deepest hopes and intentions. The question remains whether humanity is ready to fully embrace the new ideals being offered.

We may begin to see the answer when Venus moves into Leo on 13th June, opposing Pluto and activating Uranus and Neptune. This stirs significant change for the rest of the year, as people begin linking together in new ways to create emerging structures of influence and power.
