It represents the sign of Aquarius, whose age of unity and community we’re now in, so you can expect a nourishing flow of healing, optimism, and understanding onto the planet. Over the next four weeks there’s going to be an infusion of the highest frequency consciousness and life force into our bodies and minds.

Our longing to belong; how and where to find it

I’ve been thinking a lot about our longing to belong over the last few days. How the lack of it and the pursuit of it can have such an impact on our lives, for better and worse.

“Long” originates in Old English and means “extending considerably from end to end; lasting”. So originally belong would have meant being lasting, enduring. It was only later in the 14th century that belonging took on the sense of being a member of something, or being the property/possession of something or someone. That in itself is very telling about how our values have changed isn’t it?
