The Priestess Tarot card

Having mastered the manifestation skills of the Magus, it’s important to remember that spiritually you can only give or create as much as you receive. In this sense, the Magus and the Priestess are just one of the pairings in the Tarot that illustrate the importance of balancing and integrating the divine masculine (doing and forming) and the divine feminine (being and inspiring) within you.

The Priestess holds the key to a neverending source of spiritual energy and wisdom which can only be accessed by taking time out from the world to go within and reconnect to your divine spark. Through stillness, listening and quiet open-ness to Spirit, you tap into the divine feminine waters of balance, healing, intuition and love for yourself. Only when you yourself are regularly filled to overflowing can you then pass these gifts on to others. I think this is beautifully illustrated in the Lord of the Rings film, when Arwen regularly appears mysteriously to inspire and energise an embattled and weary Aragorn.

When you’re the Priestess you just know, because you are used to hearing and acting on your inner voice, your intuition. Rather than rushing in when faced with any problem or challenge, you first still your mind and heart and consult your Higher Self. The more you learn to trust this inner guidance, the more your psychic abilities to know, heal, create and see clearly will blossom. Your trust is rewarded with access to greater and deeper spiritual mysteries.

As the Priestess, you learn to rely on yourself and your own resources which spring from the divine within, so you become self-responsible and independent on your spiritual path. Although others may accompany you along the way at times, you know that you have everything you need within you.
