I wish you bright blessings for the Winter Solstice on Saturday 21st here in the Northern hemisphere. Many different spiritual festivals are celebrated at this time of the year. It’s the time I like to send greetings and blessings for the Winter holiday season, whichever festival you choose to celebrate.

This month is all about learning to manage yourself in times of conflict and difficulty. As a sword card you’re being advised to notice where you become bogged down in anxiety, hurt, and negative patterns of thinking. You could call this narrow-mindedness or a blinkered view of the world; it allows no room for movement and so makes resolution impossible.

My beloved one, it’s me – your Higher Self.

It might not feel like it now, but I’m writing to tell you that you have already everything you need to make it through these troubling times. I know this with absolute conviction. How do I know?

I’ve watched you face challenges before, when it felt like your life was falling apart and you didn’t know whether you were going to make it to the other side. Or if you did, whether you would have the energy to keep moving forwards after that. And yet here you are, still.

As I was asking for guidance, this card flipped over insistently and stopped me in mid shuffle. It’s fascinating that once again we have divine feminine energy calling for our attention. Here we’re invited to embody Her Mother aspect, as the fertile incubator who engenders love, compassion, fertility, abundance, well-being, and beauty into physical form and manifestation.
