Channelled Faerie Songs

Posted by on Feb 6, 2014 in Spiritual living | Comments Off on Channelled Faerie Songs

I’ve been singing channelled faerie songs for a few months now, so I thought it might be useful to give an introduction to this unusual aspect of my work. For the last couple of years I’ve been drawn to spend more and more time on the land. This has led to me offering sacred site transmissions as an offshoot of my current personal pilgrimage to sacred sites of the UK and Europe. When I started to work intentionally at sacred sites, I found I could hear tunes playing in my mind as I walked on the land. At first I would hum them...

The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Moon

Posted by on Jan 23, 2014 in Tarot | Comments Off on The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Moon

Continuing my journey through the spiritual development meaning of Tarot cards, specifically the major arcana of the Thoth deck, we reach number 18….. The Moon Tarot card The brightest light of the preceding Star casts the darkest shadow, and it’s into the shadows we must venture when we get to the Moon card. But a shadow is merely the absence of light, it indicates that something is preventing the light from getting through, and so now it’s time to delve deep into the Underworld where you’re not permitting the light...

Tidal, a poem

Posted by on Jan 9, 2014 in Poetry | Comments Off on Tidal, a poem

I was watching the sea in meditation at Widemouth Bay near Bude, when this poem just popped into my head pretty much fully formed. It was almost as if someone else wrote it through me: The waves race to embrace the shore, Stretching themselves out, Pulling themselves thin, Like reaching ghosts. As if they know. As if they know That the same desire driving them To individualisation on the sand, Will pull them back inexorably To the swallowing sea, The overwhelming ocean. And so it is with...

Being the change – reading for 2014

Posted by on Jan 3, 2014 in Spiritual living, Tarot | Comments Off on Being the change – reading for 2014

For this year, one that already feels very special to me, the card that I drew to guide us is The Emperor. Ah, now I can see why because this is the card of Aries, my birth sign, so I’m very at home with its energy! It’s going to be an exciting year, a year of innovation and new ideas, a time of original creation and most of all getting things done. The Emperor is a ruler, and on a world scale I believe this card indicates the tension that will be highlighted between the old and new paradigms; the old based on authoritarian,...

The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Star

Posted by on Dec 23, 2013 in Tarot | Comments Off on The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Star

Continuing my journey through the spiritual development meaning of Tarot cards, specifically the major arcana of the Thoth deck, we reach number 17….. The Star Tarot card Most people see this as the “best” spiritual card, and it is very beautiful. After the crisis of the Tower comes the healing balm and influx of the highest light, only made possible by the preceding disintegration. The cracks are how the light gets in. So at this point you’re able to hold more light in your energy bodies, you’re more aligned...

A soulful environment

Posted by on Dec 13, 2013 in Spiritual living | Comments Off on A soulful environment

Ten years ago I made a conscious decision to move from the big city of Manchester to the rural peace of mid Wales. I believed it would improve my personal well-being and enhance my spiritual life; and it did. So I’m aware of the importance of environment and how much of an effect, for better of worse, it can have on you. Now, as I’m travelling, I’m privileged to be able to witness this on a day to day basis, and to get to know my individual environmental chemistry (for want of a better word!) in a much deeper way. Part of...

The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Tower

Posted by on Nov 27, 2013 in Tarot | Comments Off on The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Tower

Continuing my journey through the spiritual development meaning of Tarot cards, specifically the major arcana of the Thoth deck, we reach number 16….. The Tower Tarot card For me, this is the card that speaks most eloquently of a spiritual breakthrough, a sudden revelation that changes dramatically the way you look at the world and how you live in it. Like a bolt from the blue, a new and dramatic insight blasts away all the carefully constructed beliefs and concepts that restrict the free expression of your soul. Usually, this moment...

Help is at hand – community consciousness

Posted by on Nov 18, 2013 in Spiritual living | Comments Off on Help is at hand – community consciousness

It’s almost two months now since we became motorhome nomads, and even I am surprised at how easily I’ve adjusted to this way of life. There isn’t one thing I’ve got fed up with (not even my partner George!) or one thing about house-based living I’ve pined for. I have really seen in very practical terms that it’s your attitude that determines how you experience life. Probably because I’m seeing each moment as an adventure, I’m enjoying absolutely everything, even the difficulties and challenges....

The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Devil

Posted by on Oct 23, 2013 in Tarot | Comments Off on The soul journey through the Thoth tarot cards: The Devil

Continuing my journey through the spiritual development meaning of Tarot cards, specifically the major arcana of the Thoth deck, we reach number 15….. The Devil Tarot card I love this card. It leads perfectly on from the Art card which taught you about acceptance and reconciling opposites, because the Devil takes you further beyond accepted morals and social judgements to embrace all of life and who you are fully and passionately. Particularly, I feel, with reference to your body and sexuality. So often in the past spirituality has...

Moving on

Posted by on Oct 11, 2013 in Spiritual living | Comments Off on Moving on

You would think that making the decision to move out of your familiar house and go travelling in a motor home would be the difficult bit. After all, you’re taking a great leap of faith and letting go of all your security blankets (well, mine anyway). But in my case that was the easy part. It was the actual getting away that would prove challenging. Buying the motor home and renting out our house all went amazingly smoothly and swiftly, so much so that if there had been any doubts they would have been thoroughly soothed. What I...
